Ben Gurion Airport to Kerem HaTeimanim: Every Way to Get to Central Tel Aviv
Ben Gurion Airport (TLV) is about 20 km south-east of central Tel Aviv. Getting to Kerem HaTeimanim is straightforward, but the best option depends on your arrival time, budget, and whether it's Shabbat. Here's everything you need to know.

Private Transfer (Easiest)
The simplest way to arrive — especially after a long flight or with luggage and family — is a pre-arranged private transfer. A driver meets you at arrivals and takes you directly to the door on Hakovshim Street. No queue, no negotiation, no app.
Or Hakerem can arrange this for you as part of our concierge services. Request it when you book (at least 48 hours ahead) and we'll coordinate a driver to meet your flight. This is the recommended option if you're arriving late, with children, or on Shabbat when trains don't run.
Taxi
Taxis are available 24/7 from the official rank outside arrivals. The ride to Kerem HaTeimanim takes 30–45 minutes depending on traffic and costs roughly 120–160 ₪ (slightly more at night and on Shabbat). Insist the driver uses the meter, or agree the fare before you set off. Gett is the main ride-hailing app in Israel and works from the airport.
Train (Cheapest and Often Fastest)
Israel Railways runs directly from Ben Gurion Airport to central Tel Aviv stations (Tel Aviv HaHagana, HaShalom, Savidor Center) in about 12 minutes for around 16 ₪. From the station, it's a short taxi ride or a Tel-O-Fun bike to Kerem HaTeimanim.
Important: the train does not run on Shabbat (from Friday afternoon until Saturday night) or on major holidays. If you land during that window, take a taxi or pre-arranged transfer. (For more on what Shabbat means for your trip, see our Shabbat-friendly stays guide.)
Sherut (Shared Shuttle)
Sherut shared taxis (yellow minibuses) leave when full and drop passengers at various points in the city. They're inexpensive but slower and less direct — best if you're traveling light, on a budget, and not in a hurry.
Arriving at Kerem HaTeimanim
